Overview Block Gate Control

The control element shows and operates a gate, a door or a barrier. It works with the function block Block Gate Control.

The link is created with the right mouse button on the control element. The variables are adopted automatically, they do not have to be entered by hand.

Tile: A rectangle represents the opening; the gate leaf slides across it in the state colour. When closed the rectangle is full, when open it is empty, and in between it follows the position. Above the tile the state is shown as text, below it the caption.

The direction in which the leaf moves is set with the property Display: from the top for a garage door or a blind, from the left or from the right for a sliding gate. For a motorised lock, which only knows open and closed, the ring is shown instead of the rectangle.

The gate leaf carries the configured font colour. Orange means a running warning period, a present obstacle or "open for a long time", red a fault. If the position is unknown a question mark is shown in the centre, on a fault an exclamation mark.

Window: A click opens the control window with the buttons Open, Stop and Close. If a partial opening time is configured, Partial opening is added; while a fault is pending, Acknowledge appears as well. Below that the state, the position in percent, whether an automatic closing is pending and the state of the warning light are shown.

The symbols in the title bar open the switching times, the presence settings and the settings.

Switching times

A switching time triggers an action: open, close or partial opening. A click on the value steps through them. Partial opening is only offered if a time for it is configured in the settings.

A newly created switching time is set to "no action" and moves nothing until an action has been chosen.

A movement triggered by a switching time runs through the warning period like any automatic movement: first the warning light, then the motion.

The switching time list is operated the same way in all block control elements, see Block Timer.

Presence

Here a separate automatic closing time can be defined per presence state - earlier while on holiday than at home, for example. A click on the house symbol switches the setting for that state on and off, a click on the value next to it opens the entry.

By default no state has a setting. As long as nothing is switched on, the general value from the settings applies in every presence state. The value 0 means: do not close automatically in this state.

Settings

Close automatically
After this many minutes the open gate closes on its own. Beforehand the warning light runs ahead for the warning time configured on the function block. If an obstacle is present or the function block is locked, it is not started - the time then waits. The value 0 switches the function off.
Partial opening
How long the gate opens for a partial opening - for the ventilation position or a pedestrian passage. It can only be set up to the travel time open of the function block; anything longer would no longer be a partial opening but a full movement. The value 0 switches partial opening off; the button and the switching time action are then no longer offered.
Open for a long time after
After this many minutes the function block reports through output LA that the gate has been open for a long time. The value 0 switches the message off.
The settings are only transferred to the controller with "Save". They are stored there and survive a restart.

Properties

View
Display as a block, on the main screen or as a list entry.
Display
Direction in which the gate leaf moves: from the top like a garage door or a blind, from the left or from the right like a sliding gate. Ring shows a ring instead of the rectangle - suitable for a motorised lock, which only knows open and closed.
Text
Text to be displayed. When linking to the function block its caption is adopted.

Variable links

The variables are adopted automatically through the link to the function block, see function block Block Gate Control.
