Overview DMX

With this function block a USB DMX controller from the manufacturer DMX4ALL can be connected. The supported models are "NanoDMX USB Interface" for connection to the USB interface, and  "DMX STAGE-PROFI 1.1" for connection over the network. For larger installations the network variant is recommended, since it has its own power supply.

Via the ArtNet protocol no separate adapter is required.

For the ArtNet protocol the following restrictions currently still apply:

  • A block can only send or receive; simultaneous sending and receiving is only possible if separate function blocks with their own addresses and separate universes are used for this purpose.
  • Only the opcode 0x5000 is supported. Other functions such as Discovery, for example, are not supported.
