Overview Network Output


With this function block, network telegrams can be sent.





Inputs

TR
Trigger
Trigger at which the network telegram is sent. See parameter Trigger.
WT or W1…W8
Value
Optional value. Here a value can be connected that is added to the data in the parameter  "Data". Using the parameter Number of inputs, the number of value inputs can be increased up to 8. With a single input it is named WT, with several inputs these are designated W1, W2, … W8. The values of the inputs are inserted in order into the placeholders of the data (see parameter Data).

Number of threads
Number of threads. With each trigger, a separate thread is started; this is terminated as soon as the data has been sent. When 16 parallel connections are exceeded, no further connection is accepted.

Parameters

Trigger
  • Rising edge: data is sent on 0-1.
  • Falling edge: data is sent on 1-0.
  • Change: data is sent on every change at the input.

Server
IP address  of the server to which the data is sent. In this parameter only the server is specified, for example 192.168.1.200; the entire URL is formed from "http://" + Server + this parameter. https connections are currently not provided. Alternatively, DNS names can also be specified; here it must be noted that the name must always be resolved. If no DNS server is reachable, the logic may block under certain circumstances.

HTTP URL
Specification of a URL (only for HTTP-GET/POST); the path after the server name is entered, for example "/directory", the entire URL is then formed from "http://" + Server + this parameter.
HTTP user
Optional user (only for HTTP-GET/POST)

Optional password (only for HTTP-GET/POST)
Data
Data to be sent. Format specifications such as %d / %f etc. can be used in the data; these are then replaced by the value at the input Value. See Format specifications. Special characters \n, \r and \t are replaced by the corresponding codes.

Replacing the placeholders:
  • A placeholder %d is replaced by the value as an integer, %f by the value as a floating-point number.
  • If only one input is defined (parameter Number of inputs = 1), all placeholders in the data are replaced by the value of this single input.
  • If two or more inputs are defined, the placeholders are replaced in order from left to right: the first placeholder with the value of W1, the second with W2 etc.
  • If there are more placeholders than inputs, the excess placeholders are replaced with the value of the last input.

Number of inputs
Number of value inputs (1 to 8). With a value of 1, a single input WT is available. With values from 2 onwards, several inputs W1 … W8 are created, whose values are inserted in order into the placeholders of the data (see parameter Data).
Data hex.
Data can also be sent binary; in this case the data must be specified in the format "FF00" etc. as ASCII in hexadecimal notation.
Read response
When this parameter is active, a response is read.
Response search start Evaluation via a string; the text between search start and search end is output as a number at the output. This method is easier to apply than regular expressions.

Response search count
Number of matches after which the value is output. For example, when several values are output in the response and the one at the x-th position is to be used.
