Overview Shelly 3EM energy meter, 3-phase

The Shelly 3EM measures the energy of all three phases with three current transformers. The function block supplies voltage, current and power per phase as well as the meter readings for import and export, and additionally forms the sums across all three phases. A relay built into the device can be switched. The device is therefore suitable as a meter at the grid connection point for surplus control or as a sub-meter.

Inputs
R1 Relay Switches the relay built into the device. The value is applied directly: 1 switches on, 0 switches off.

Outputs
R1 Relay status Actual state of the relay in the device. Is also updated when switching via the Shelly app or the push-button at the device.
V1 Voltage V L1 Mains voltage of phase L1 in volts.
V2 Voltage V L2 Mains voltage of phase L2 in volts.
V3 Voltage V L3 Mains voltage of phase L3 in volts.
A1 Current A L1 Current of phase L1 in amperes.
A2 Current A L2 Current of phase L2 in amperes.
A3 Current A L3 Current of phase L3 in amperes.
P1 Power L1 Active power of phase L1 in watts. A negative value means feed-in.
P2 Power L2 Active power of phase L2 in watts. A negative value means feed-in.
P3 Power L3 Active power of phase L3 in watts. A negative value means feed-in.
W1 Import L1 Imported energy of phase L1. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
W2 Import L2 Imported energy of phase L2. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
W3 Import L3 Imported energy of phase L3. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
W1 Export L1 Exported energy of phase L1. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
W2 Export L2 Exported energy of phase L2. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
W3 Export L3 Exported energy of phase L3. Unit according to the power factor parameter.
AG Current A L1-L3 Sum of the currents of all three phases in amperes.
WG Power L1-L3 Sum of the active power of all three phases in watts. This value is usually used for surplus control.
IG Import L1-L3 Sum of the imported energy of all three phases.
EG Export L1-L3 Sum of the exported energy of all three phases.

Parameters

MQTT topic Topic of the device. Devices of the first generation automatically prepend shellies/, this part has to be entered here as well. Example: shellies/shellyem3-AABBCCDDEEFF

Power factor Unit of the energy outputs. Wh outputs the meter readings in watt hours, kWh converts them into kilowatt hours.

Filter Time in seconds in which the sum outputs (L1-L3) are recalculated. A larger value calms the display and relieves the bus, a smaller value reacts faster. The default is 10 seconds.
In addition to the outputs listed, the command generate addresses creates an address named timeout. It is set to 1 when the device has not sent a message for a longer period of time.
