Overview Shelly Plug M Gen3

The Shelly Plug M Gen3 is a switchable socket with power measurement for up to 13 A. The function block switches the socket and supplies voltage, current, power and consumption. A separate input resets the energy counters of the device. In addition, the LED of the device can be set.

Inputs
R1 Relay Switches the socket on and off. The value is applied directly: 1 switches on, 0 switches off.
RS Reset counter On a change from 0 to 1 the energy counters in the device are set to zero. The output consumption Wh then starts at zero again.
LE LED mode 0 = LED off, 1 = LED shows the switching state in the selected colour, 2 = LED shows the current power. Only effective if the parameter LED is set to control via inputs.
RT LED red Red component of the colour in mode switching state, range 0 to 100.
GN LED green Green component of the colour in mode switching state, range 0 to 100.
BL LED blue Blue component of the colour in mode switching state, range 0 to 100.
HE LED brightness Brightness of the LED, range 0 to 100.
Important note on the LED: The setting of the LED is stored permanently in the flash memory of the Shelly. The function block therefore only sends it when one of the LED inputs changes.
The flash memory withstands only a limited number of write cycles. If the LED inputs are changed constantly, for example by a colour that follows a measured value or by a flashing signal, the memory of the device can be damaged permanently. The LED inputs are intended for occasional changes, not for continuous ones.

Outputs
R1 Relay status Actual state of the relay in the device. It is also updated when switching is done via the Shelly app or the button on the device.
V1 Voltage V Current mains voltage in volts.
A1 Current A Current in amperes.
P1 Power W Current active power in watts.
W1 Consumption Wh Counter reading of the consumed energy in watt hours.

Parameters

MQTT topic Topic of the device, exactly as in the MQTT settings of the device. Example: shellyplugmg3-aabbccddeeff

LED Do not change: The function block does not access the LED setting of the device. This is the default. The inputs LE, RT, GN, BL and HE are then not shown, and the command generate addresses does not create any addresses for them.
Control via inputs: Mode, colour and brightness are determined by the inputs LE, RT, GN, BL and HE. The setting is only sent to the device on a change, because it is stored there in the flash memory.
In addition to the outputs listed, the command generate addresses creates an address named timeout. It is set to 1 when the device has not sent a message for a longer period of time.
The Plug M Gen3 can also be operated with the function block Shelly Plus Plug S. That block switches the socket and supplies power and consumption, but neither voltage nor current, and no counter reset and no LED control.
