Overview KLF 200 / VELUX

This function block controls VELUX io-homecontrol actuators (roller shutters, windows, awnings, venetian blinds, gates, lights) through the VELUX KLF 200 gateway and reads back their positions.

Communication uses the local KLF 200 API (TCP port 51200, TLS-encrypted). Enter the IP address and password of the KLF 200. The password is the setup key printed on the device (Wi-Fi password).

Set the number of actuators and generate the variables. Alternatively, when the controller is connected, the Search actuators button can read and import the available actuators automatically.

Three addresses are created per actuator:
  • Target position (input, 0..100 %): moves the actuator to the desired position.
  • Actual position (output, 0..100 %): current position of the actuator.
  • State (output): actuator feedback (moving / done / radio error).
Important: The meaning of the position depends on the actuator type (e.g. window 100 % = open, roller shutter 100 % = closed).

Note: The automatic search only works if the controller is connected to the software and is itself connected to the KLF 200. If the system is operated via APP, special protective measures should be taken (e.g. a private VPN access). The system should never be freely accessible from the internet.

Outputs

ER
Error counter
Number of communication errors (-1 = software without SSL support)

Parameters

IP address
IP address of the KLF 200
Port
TCP port of the KLF 200 API (default: 51200)
Password
Setup key of the KLF 200 (printed on the device)
Timeout (ms)
Connection timeout in milliseconds
Number of actuators
Number of actuators to control (determines the number of generated addresses)
Actuator list
Assignment of the actuators (NodeID/name/type). Filled automatically by the search.
Debug
Additional diagnostic output in the error log
