Overview Philips Hue Group

With this function block a group (a room) of lamps can be controlled together via a Philips Hue Bridge. The group is selected by its name. In contrast to the block Philips Hue Light (controls a single light), all lamps of the group are switched together here.

Switch
Switch the group on/off.
PR
Brightness percent
Brightness of the group (0–100 %).
RT / GN / BL
Red / Green / Blue
Color values (0–255). Only available when the parameter „Type“ is set to „Color“.

Status switch
Feedback on/off of the group.
SP
Status brightness percent
Feedback of the brightness (0–100 %).
RT / GN / BL
Status Red / Green / Blue
Feedback of the color values. Only available with type „Color“.

Parameters

Bridge user name
User name (key) for the Hue Bridge. It can be generated via the search function.

  1. Enter the IP address for the Hue Bridge.
  2. Save the project permanently to the controller.
  3. After a short waiting time of approx. 10 seconds, activate the pairing via the search function using the key symbol.
  4. The user name is then entered at the function block.
  5. This only has to be done once; the same user name can then be copied to all function blocks.

However, this does not yet work with all Hue Bridges. If an error occurs, the user name must be generated manually. See the following link:

Bridge IP address
IP address of the Hue Bridge.
Name
Name of the group or room in the Hue Bridge. The groups/ rooms available in the bridge can be determined and applied via the search function.

  1. Enter the user name and IP address for the Hue Bridge.
  2. Create a boot project.
  3. After a short waiting time of approx. 10 seconds, groups/rooms can be searched for via the search function.
Type
  • White: only switch and brightness are available.
  • Color: additionally the color inputs/outputs Red, Green and Blue are available.
On switch on/off
  • Keep status: when switching, the last set brightness/color status is kept.
  • Set status 0: when switching, the status is set to 0.
