Overview Block Code switch KNX



Block function block for the control element Block Code switch KNX; the control element must be connected with this function block. See Block Presence and Presence General.

With this function block a KNX switch can be used as a code keypad. For this, each rocker is interpreted as a number. The short-time object (short button press) serves as a number starting with 0; with the long-time object (long button press) you can switch between functions, and an individual code can be stored for each function. This means that, for example, with 4 buttons 4 functions with 4 PIN codes can be used, with 6 buttons 6 functions, etc.

During commissioning a master PIN code is stored. In the app this code is used to assign a separate PIN code for each function. These must be assigned once during commissioning. In addition, there is the option of generating a one-time code. This code is valid either only once or for a specified time.


Inputs

K0-9 Short time 0-9 The short-time addresses (short button press) are interpreted as numbers 0-9. It always reacts to telegrams, i.e. either 1 or 0 telegrams from the button.
L0-9 Long time 0-9 The long-time addresses (long button press) are used for function switching.
FG Enable Optional enable. If the input is connected, the code switch is only active when the input is not equal to 0.
OE
One-time code external
Optional input for an external one-time code. If this input is connected, no one-time code is generated; instead the one from this input is used and output at the output. This can for example be used when several code switches are to use the same one-time code (e.g. entrance and room).
OT One-time code trigger With a positive edge at this input a new one-time code is generated.
OZ
One-time code time
Time the one-time code is valid. After the time has elapsed the one-time code is set to 0 and thus deactivated.
OF
One-time code time factor
A time factor can be specified here for the time the one-time code should be valid.
  • 0 = seconds
  • 1 = minutes
  • 2 = hours
  • 3 = days
This factor can easily be set via the app.

Outputs

L0-0
LED 0-9
Addresses for controlling the LEDs on the buttons. On a long button press the respective LED is driven. This way a separate password can be stored for each button. If the wrong code is entered, all LEDs flash for 5 seconds.
C0-0
Code correct 0-9
Depending on the LED or function control, the corresponding output is driven on correct entry of the code. This way separate outputs / functions can be driven for each button.
OC
One-time code
Current one-time code. If the output is not equal to 0, this is also accepted in addition to the stored ones.
OZ
One-time code time
Time the one-time code is still valid. After the time has elapsed the one-time code is set to 0 and thus deactivated.

Parameters

Create switch addresses
Optionally, internal variables can be created and connected with this parameter. This only makes sense for tests; normally the addresses come from the KNX switch.
Number of buttons Number of buttons. Please note that with a number of 4 buttons the numbers 0-3 are available, with 8 0-7, etc.
Code length Length of the code. Please note that with a number of 4 buttons the numbers 0-3 are available, with 8 0-7, etc.
Reset PIN With this code the codes can be reassigned via the app. When the element is newly created, a random code is generated. To change the code, the control element must be connected with the function block; the code can then be changed via the app.
Type code correct Output control on entry of the correct code.
